Our mission appears seemingly endless but despite the many setbacks and struggles, we are undaunted in our efforts to bring clean water to the people of Haiti. We know that without water, there can be no life. In that light, other sites scheduled this year for our drilling operations include:
- Marose Marketplace – This site is located along the road between Gonaives and Gros Morne and is adjacent to a local orphanage and school. The marketplace is a strategic set of sustainable projects that will offer life-changing opportunities for local men, women, and young people.
- Teaching, training, modeling, and mentoring will create a dynamic, profitable, and contagious model for community development that
will produce many short and long term benefits. In addition to providing water to the marketplace itself, there is the possibility of
selling potable water to the marketplace customers in order to generate continuing revenue in support of the orphanage and local school. - Ditas House & Boys Transitional House – This site has two houses for aged-out orphans to finish school and learn to be productive and responsible young adults in their community.
- Dennonville – A small village area within the community of Gonaives. A modest school has been established at this village and the residents are in desperate need of a reliable local source for potable water. Imagine sending your child to a school that has no water to drink or wash with. Our work is important.
- Poteau Farmers Association – This is a group of farmers supporting approximately 200 families that have recently suffered from drought
conditions. Our purpose at IA is to provide wells with suitable submersible electric pumps to both support the potable drinking needs
of the families and to supply irrigation water for the farmers.
