International Action has installed several chlorinators to provide clean, safe drinking water to the town of Croix-des-Bouquets, a northern suburb in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area. The number of locations with access to clean water continues to expand. The newest on that list is the LOCC Mission orphanage.
The orphanage has a well with a pump that feeds water to the tank available on site. The children had access to water and now they have access to clean water. International Action also educated children on the importance of clean drinking water. Doug and Teresa Frye – the directors of the orphanage – observed that:
Within 30 days of the installations we could see a difference in all of our children that were sick. Your chlorinators literally have saved lives.
