In April, Dalebrun Esther sent us a list of new major installations with 2000-gallon tanks. This most recent report from Dalebrun Esther – our Haitian director – lists the following new chlorinator installations:

  1. Rosenberg 3 – in Croix-des-Bouquets with 3,000 residents in March 2011; 2000 gallons. Lat: 18° 38’ N, Long: 72° 13’ W
  2. Lison – with orphanage, school and church. 2000-gallon tank open to community; serving 400 people. Lat: 18° 35’ N, Long: 72° 17’ W
  3. Cité Soleil – 2000-gallon tank at a maternal clinic in Cité Boaston. 7000 residents in area. Lat: 18° 34’ N, Long: 72° 20’ W
  4. Delmas Commercial Center – installed 150-gallon tank serving 400 shopkeepers with no water access. Tests show no bacteria after installation. Lat: 18° 32’ N, Long: 72° 18’ W
  5. Best / Croix-des-Bouquets – here we have installed several chlorinators; artesian well with tank. Lat: 18° 37’ N, Long: 72° 12’ W
  6. Bertin – the largest slum in Carrefour. Location of one of International Action chlorine sources. School site for 150-gallon tank with new chlorinator. Lat: 19° 39’ N, Long: 72° 31’ W

Approximately 100 schools have received our 150-gallon tanks, and we use our 1200-gallon truck to deliver water. Most of these tanks are in Cité Soleil, Haiti’s worst slum.
